BRIEF
After extensive internal flooding during the pandemic, the clients engaged Maine House Interiors to complete a full interior renovation on their much-loved coastal retreat.
DESIGN
“We chose a classic, American-style marine palette of red, white and blue to reflect the coastal surrounds without playing into coastal design cliches,” says Amy Spargo, Design Director.
“Experiencing a flood is a very emotional journey so we focused on the positive opportunities and incorporating the clients’ favourite things, from the colour red to a wow-factor chandelier on the staircase.
“The owners are passionate about supporting Australian design, so we specified furniture and fabrics from Australian furniture designers and fabric houses.”
